Halloween Parties

The preschoolers had a great time at the Halloween Parties.  Since we had our parties a day early, we paraded through some classrooms to show off our costumes.  Everyone wanted us to visit their classroom because we had such cute spooks. :)  We ate yummy snacks and played some fun games.  Thank you party committees!

Fun With Pumpkins

While learning about the color orange, we did many activities with pumpkins.  We cleaned and carved them, hammered golf tees in one, and melted orange crayons on some small ones.  We also painted orange pumpkins at the easel and read some pumpkin stories.

Red Ribbon Week

Last week was Red Ribbon Week.  This week is celebrated nationwide to teach children about the importance of staying away from alcohol, tobacco and drugs.  Students from the high school came and presented a power point about making healthy choices in our lives.  They had the children run with straws in their mouths to show them how hard it is to breathe when you smoke.  They also showed the children what the mouth of a smoker would look like.
