Snowflakes
Katie, the Buena Vista County Naturalist, came to our classroom to teach us about snowflakes. After her presentation, the preschoolers got the chance to make their own snowflakes. They loved this hands on activity.

Christmas Parties
We had a lot of fun at our Christmas parties. We ate great food, played fun games and opened presents. A big thank you to all the parents that helped with these parties. Happy New Year to you all!
The Gingerbread Man
We were busy in December doing many activities around the story The Gingerbread Man. We read the book and other stories about characters made from gingerbread. We sorted and made patterns with gingerbread men. We made gingerbread tree ornaments and put together gingerbread puzzles. Our favorite activity was making gingerbread cookies. When we went to get them out of the oven, they had escaped! They had us chasing them all over the school, but luckily we found them in our classroom. We shut the door quick, so they couldn't run away again before we ate them. :)
Christmas Readers
Third grade students from Mrs. Corderman's class came to our room before we left for break. They read Christmas stories to us. This was especially fun for some of the preschoolers when the special reader was their sister or cousin. These third graders have become very good readers, and we thank them for sharing these stories with us.
