Fire Safety

We spent the entire week learning about fire safety. On October 11th, our local fire departments paid a visit to our classroom to talk to more about fire safety.  Thank you so much to the Newell and Fonda Fire Departments for giving us a ride in the fire truck and giving us our own fire hats!   

Fall Story Time at the Library

On Tuesday, October 1st, we walked to the Newell Public Library for a Fall Story Time.  The librarian read us a story about fall and one about the library.  She showed the children what the library has available for kids and showed us where the books go when you put them in the book drop.  We thank Sherry for getting the children excited about going to the library.

Learning About Circles

We have been learning about circles in preschool.  Two of our activities were making "circle sculptures" and moving to some circle songs.  The children really enjoyed both of these activities.

Football Readers

Each Friday during the football season, a member of the Mustang football team comes to our classroom to read to the preschoolers.  The children really enjoy seeing the boys in their jerseys and hearing the story they read to us.  We thank Coach Wilken and the football boys for sharing their time with us.
